Maintenance, The Hidden Cost of Software

“Maintenance? I never do maintenance!” I hear you say. “I’m a game programmer! A coder who lives on the bleeding edge and doesn’t have to bother with boring stuff like that. That’s for stuffy database programmers, not for me.”

Over the years I’ve read hundreds of technical books. Some of them had some great new ideas, others were great introductions to specific topics, and others had a knack for explaining some complex topic in a very easy to understand way.
