Lasting Legacy Dev Update #1

Here’s the first video dev update for Lasting Legacy. We go over the basic gameplay.

It’s a whopping 19 minutes long, so I may have overdone it a bit! I’ll try to keep it shorter for future updates.

Since this is the first time we’re doing this, any feedback is appreciated. Would you like to see more of these in the future? What should the focus be? Any technical issues I should improve?

  1. I love your blog — I really do! I’m one of the ones who complains when it’s too long between updates.

That said, when I come to do my “catch up on all my blogs” days (I shoot for 3x/week, don’t always make it), I’m highly unlikely to watch a 19 minute youtube.

Sorry, I know you were looking for a different kind of feedback (I’m also aware that I may be in the minority on this one), but that’s what I’ve got: I like your blog because reading your words, thoughts and descriptions of things adds value to my life, whereas gameplay videos longer than about 30 seconds don’t.

(I don’t think it’s an attention-span issue, as I have no problems watching a 2 hr movie. It’s just that certain kinds of information don’t go into my brain via video well. )

    • Thanks for the feedback. I get that video isn’t ideal for everybody (and this was way too long), but we also reached people who hadn’t read the previous posts. We’ll most likely continue doing a mix of the two, so hopefully you’ll keep getting the updates you enjoy.

  2. I have a question :
how do you get your names for your characters?
